The goal of the Family Caregiver Counselor Certificate Program is to educate counselors, not only how to support the emotional and psychological needs of family caregivers, but also how to create a successful business as a Family Caregiver Counselor. Participants are given a comprehensive overview of legal, financial, housing, moving, home modification, and other resources that are critical to caregivers. Through this unique program, counselors learn how to guide their clients in an integrated wellness approach that includes techniques for coping with loss, making transitions, enlisting and coordinating the support of others, and balancing caregiving needs with self-care and career.
